(Day 1, Tasmanian Midlands & Majestic Bay of Fires)

Start your journey in Hobart, heading straight through the heart of Tasmania via the Midlands Highway. After a couple of hours, stop in Campbell Town for a quick break and explore the charming town. Continue northeast through the picturesque Fingal Valley to the town of St Helens, known as the gateway to the Bay of Fires. Enjoy a delightful lunch in St Helens, indulging in fresh seafood, including oysters. Afterward, take a short drive to Binalong Bay and the Bay of Fires to marvel at the iconic bright red rocks and the tranquil beauty of the surrounding bays and beaches. Later, drive an hour along the scenic Great Eastern Drive to the quaint east coast town of Bicheno, where you’ll stay the night near Freycinet National Park. In the evening, you can opt for the enchanting Bicheno Penguin Tours that evening if it interests you.

(Day 2, Discover Freycinet National Park & Wineglass Bay)

The day begins in Bicheno with a visit to the Blue Edge Bakery to fuel up for the adventures ahead. Next, we explore the impressive Bicheno Blowhole, which is especially spectacular under the right weather conditions. From there, we head to the renowned Freycinet Peninsula to embark on the 1.5-hour Wineglass Bay Lookout Walk, where we can take in the breathtaking beauty of Wineglass Bay. After this highlight, we visit the serene Honeymoon Bay and the picturesque Cape Tourville Lighthouse boardwalk, offering panoramic views of the East Coast. A delightful seafood lunch awaits us at the Freycinet Marine Farm before we journey back to Hobart along the scenic Great Eastern Drive, soaking in stunning coastal vistas. Rest stops at Swansea and Orford provide relaxing breaks before the inland mountainous roads guide us back to Hobart, concluding an unforgettable adventure to Tasmania’s North East Coast.
