Heart of Tasmania tours were founded in 2017 to meet the rising demand for highly flexible, affordable and personalised tours of Tasmania. Our founders, Kyle and Kim; are also former highly experienced rideshare drivers having completed over 18,000 trips between them, taking tourists and local residents throughout Tasmania. Kyle your senior tour guide and itinerary planner has grown up in Hobart Tasmania for over 32 years and is very passionate about it. He has done an extensive amount of travelling across the Island over his lifetime. Travelling by Car, Boat and Motorcycle. In addition he has camped, hiked, walked, fished and explored all across Tasmania for all it has on offer you. including culinary delights, wine, cider, beer, scenic attractions, little known secrets and more.

Heart of Tasmania Tours requires a 20% deposit and or payment in full for the total tour cost for all advance bookings of any day tour tour / multi day tour. We only offer a 20% deposit as an option for large multiday bookings only, while payment in full is required for all other bookings. This can be paid online through our online secure payment gateway, we will send out an electronic invoice by email on confirmation that you would like to go ahead with a large booking for a 20% deposit. You can then pay online via the secure portal that will confirm your booking with us. We use “Square” to process all booking deposits and refunds. If you have paid with a 20% deposit, the remaining balance must be paid 7 days prior to the booking commencing.
Due to the ongoing nature of the COVID Pandemic and its continuing disruptive effects on travel and tourism industry we have decided to implement a small amendment of our below cancellation policy. It will apply to ALL bookings that have to be cancelled due to COVID related restrictions and border closure that prevent you from traveling to Tasmania.
- In the event your travel cannot take place into Tasmania and you are specifically prevented from entering Tasmania, we will refund 50% of your payment in full, if you cancel with under 30 days notice.
- 20% booking deposits are non refundable under 30 days as they are already below the 50% threshold.

Our cancellation policy returns a percentage of your deposit or payment in full to you, based on the number of days until your booking is to commence with us. We refund via the same system that we use to process your deposit / payment in full, expect your refund to come through in around 5 to 10 working days.
- 120 Days notice of cancellation = 100% Refund of deposit.
- 90 Days notice of cancellation = 75% Refund of deposit.
- 60 Days notice of cancellation = 50% Refund of deposit.
- 30 Days notice of cancellation = 0% Refund of deposit.
