# Heart of Tasmania Tours – Booking & Cancellation Policys #

## Scope
This Booking & Cancellation Policy applies to all reservations for tours operated by Heart of Tasmania Tours, including both multi-day and single-day tours.

## Multi-day Tours
– **Deposit:**
– 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
– **Final Payment:**
– The remaining 80% balance is due four (4) weeks (28 days) before the scheduled tour start date.
– **Booking Confirmation:**
– Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of the deposit and issuance of a confirmation email.
– **Late Bookings:**
– For bookings made within four weeks of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
– **Payment Methods:**
– Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card and electronic funds transfer (EFT). Please note: Where applicable, any card surcharges will be disclosed prior to payment.

## Single-day Tours
– **Full Payment:**
– Full payment is required at the time of booking for all single-day tours.
– **Booking Confirmation:**
– Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment and issuance of a confirmation email.
– **Payment Methods:**
– Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card and electronic funds transfer (EFT). Where applicable, any card surcharges will be disclosed prior to payment.

## Cancellations and Refunds
### Multi-day Tours
– If you cancel at any time after booking, the 20% deposit is non-refundable.
– If you cancel within four (4) weeks of the scheduled tour start date, all payments made are non-refundable.
– If cancellation is received more than four weeks prior to the tour, any payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded.
– In the unlikely event Heart of Tasmania Tours cancels a tour, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid.
### Single-day Tours
– Cancellations more than 48 hours before the scheduled tour departure receive a refund based on time of cancellation before the tour is to commence,
- 60 Days notice of cancellation = 100% Refund of full payment.
- 30 Days notice of cancellation = 50% Refund of full payment.
- 10 Days notice of cancellation = 0% Refund of full payment.
– Cancellations less than 48 hours before departure or non-attendance are non-refundable.
– In case of cancellation by Heart of Tasmania Tours, you will receive a full refund.

## Changes and Amendments
– Requests to change or amend a booking (such as transferring dates or names) are subject to availability and may incur administration fees.
– All changes must be requested in writing via email.

## Force Majeure
– If a tour is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control (such as severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events), we will offer a full refund or, where possible, reschedule your booking to a future date.

## Customer Responsibilities
– It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details are accurate and up-to-date so we may communicate important information regarding your booking.
– Please review all tour inclusions and requirements at the time of booking.

## Australian Consumer Law
– This policy is governed by Australian Consumer Law. Your consumer rights are protected, and nothing in this policy excludes any rights provided by law.

## Payment Surcharges
– Any applicable payment processing surcharges will be disclosed at the point of payment. We endeavor to keep these to a minimum, in line with regulatory requirements.

## Travel Insurance
– Heart of Tasmania Tours strongly recommends that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation coverage) at the time of booking.

(Tour Bookings & Flexible Itinerary planning, Terms and Conditions)
Heart of Tasmania Tours allows you the customer, to have the ultimate flexibility in building and designing your ideal day tour or multiday tour and making on the fly changes to your itinerary while on tour with us. We will always endeavor to, as much as humanly possible meet the needs of you and your group and the itinerary you have requested. However we will not be held responsible, for the following reasons that may result in our day tour / multiday tour with you needing to be changed or changed completely based on circumstances beyond our control.
– Pandemic related restrictions and or rules.
– Very limiting weather conditions.
– Unavoidable road closure’s.
– Unsafe conditions, bush fire, ice, snow, extreme wind & rain, etc….
– Limiting time factors where the itinerary in question has not been provided by us and therefore is impossible to complete in one day or as written.
– Unavoidable closure of attractions and or food & drink establishments where by, there are external factors beyond our control.
– Unadvisable / unrecommended changes to the original itinerary on the day of the tour booking, including whilst on tour. Whereby, the end result of the tour because of your own changes is then deemed an unpleasant or not an enjoyable experience by you and/or other passengers at the end of the tour.
